Electric Fields and Forces

The Electric Fields and Forces Simulation is a sophisticated, real-time physics application designed to provide an immersive window into the world of electrostatics. The app allows users to deploy virtual charges and immediately visualize the resulting electric field gradients and net force vectors governed by Coulomb’s Law. Beyond static observation, it features a dynamic physics engine where unlike charges realistically attract and merge, wall collisions conserve energy, and an adjustable simulation speed allows for detailed analysis of particle trajectories. With advanced scientific instrumentation, including real-time electric potential energy calculations, a comprehensive distance matrix, and precise coordinate entry, the simulation serves as both a high-fidelity educational tool and a versatile sandbox for exploring the complex behaviors of charged particles.

The simulation app runs on JavaScript and works with most browsers on Mac and Windows, as well as on mobile devices, preferably in landscape mode.
